Data handling & intake

Your data needs a clearly agreed scope of work. Discuss the points below with the intake contact before transferring files, equipment or access.

Start with the minimum information

For first contact, provide the system type, discovery time, observed signs and a way to reach you. Keep passwords, private keys, customer data and privileged access links out of the description.

Agree the recipient and transfer channel

Confirm the TUNGTEK contact, the authorised representative, an inventory of files or devices and an appropriate transfer channel. Check via +84 963 509 115 or t@tungtek.com before sending.

Define the authorised work

Agree which data may be accessed, permitted actions, result recipients and validation criteria. Confidentiality and handover documentation can be discussed where needed. Do not send a full dataset just to ask about recovery options.

Preserve the source and record handover

Discuss preservation of originals, copies where appropriate, and records of devices, files, condition, time and responsible people. Hashes can support integrity checks but do not by themselves establish provenance.

Agree retention, return and deletion

Retention period, storage arrangements, authorised access and the return or deletion of copies must be agreed for the individual case. Coordinate any evidence-preservation requirements with the competent authority or responsible person before changing the source.

Validate before acceptance

Agree checks using real files, applications or business workflows. A readable file or a percentage of unaffected bytes does not establish that all business data is usable.
